Vintage: dated Wednesday, August 28, 1957 Provenance: From the estate of the Lake Bluff, Illinois, entrepreneur and epicurean, Othon Ochsner (1934-2017) who had a passion for collecting fine wines, cookbooks and restaurant menus from his travels around the world. Besides being the president and CEO of Ochsner International, and the managing director of Ochsner Auto and Bike Museum, Ochsner Object d' Art Gallery, and Ochsner Cook Book Library, he belonged to the Ordre Des Canardiers, a French organization dedicated to the preservation of French culinary traditions; and Les Amis d' Escoffer Society, which describes itself as "the nation's foremost fraternity of dedicated gastronomes.... with a membership consisting of chefs de cuisine, hotel executives, restauranteurs, and business executives who gather monthly for epicurean meals." Old softened creases at two corners, and two tack holes, one over the top of the SEILER text, and one below. Very light overall surface wear, with nothing sticky or otherwise gross, and no smoke, mildew or any other funky odors. Please see the photos for condition appearance details.
