Description: Wonderful Buzza motto TRIBUTE TO A DOG, about 10.5" by 8.5" in size, in original wood beveled frame, dustcover, and brass Buzza cloverleaf hanger. The collie dog portrait is in an oval with 4 corners of metallic gold embellishment, with that same gold accent in the first letter of the motto. The frame is wood and is stepped into the glass in three levels. Original glass, back dustcover & Buzza hanger remain. The motto is an excerpt from George Vest's address to a jury in 1870 in Warrensburg, MO in a suit to recover damages for the killing of a dog belonging to one of his clients. It is a most eloquent & heartfelt prose honoring loyalty & love from a dog.
