Description: VTG New Linen & Cotton Woven Jacquard Fabric to make a Table Runner and/or Towels Size - 19'W x 90"L Beautiful center floral pattern and full length stripes along with the jacquard structural pattern gives the fabric the unique appearance traditional for dining tables and kitchen towels in Russia. Ideal for creating either or both of those. This fabric piece was was purchased in Moscow at the very end of the Soviet era (1991). Never used, and stored almost 35 years since then. There is a minor defect - there are two not very noticeable darker spots (shown on the last 3 pictures). They are both located near the edge and are symmetrical so we think it's from storage. Washing will probably reduce this or fix it entirely but we didn't try that and can make no guarantee. Or as alternative, this edge part could be easily cut off (that would shorten the piece by 12 inches). The fabric was made at the Yakovlevsky manufacture, not far from the Volga river. Yakovlevsky has been a well-known brand of textiles since 1870. It's the only flax factory in the region with a full production cycle of that fiber and is accordingly famous for its linen.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Comes from a smoke free & pet free environment.
