Description: Vtg 1963 CALIFORNIA Black & Yellow License Plate Set, Matching Pair This is a matching set of 1963 model license plates. The one with the registration tag is very nice. The yellow paint is a little faded and the tags are grizzled, but you could probably remove those. The front plate is weird. I believe it is the original paint and the yellow is nicer than the other one, but still a little faded. The weird part is it looks like when it was painted there was something in the paint. It looks as if there's hair or lint painted onto the plate. I'm not an expert, but I can't see any indication that it was repainted. It's just a strange finish on it. I don't think it's corrosion; it doesn't look like that. Check out the photos.
