Vtg 1940’s 2 Pc Suit Houndstooth Plaid Double Breasted Wool Gangster 38 / 30x29

Description: This auction is for a vintage 1940's era 2-piece wool suit by Parkway Clothes for a tailor in Laurel MT. Great old suit! Neat houndstooth plaid pattern. Great shape considering age as well. I did notice some soiling on collar fold (most visible on rear of collar, see pic 6) and a slight seam separation on inside collar neck area from lining. Also please see pics 8&9 as there is a separation on each collar above lapel - not sure if made this way or not. See all photos. Fantastic suit! No union tag that I saw inside to help date it, looks 1940's to me though. Jacket appears to be around a 38. Please go by following & see pics with yardstick for best fit: Measures 20" pit to pit laid flat, 24.5" shoulder seam to end of sleeves, 29.75" length from neck seam down center back, and 18" shoulder to shoulder. Pants measure 30" waist laid flat and inseam is 29". Front rise is 12.5". Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
