WHAT A RADIANT TREASURE! This BEAUTIFULLY LARGE disc features EXQUISITE & PERFECT Golden California Poppy flowers in GLOWING enamel! They are the richest golden-hued yellow, the 1st photo is VERY EXACT. The glossy surface made photographing difficult, but I think it came across well! The translucent enamel looks like it has foil under it because of the unique process. I know many folks prefer the original patina, so I just gave it a quick buff ONLY so the lettering showed well, but this would EASILY polish up bright with very little effort. This is CERTAINLY a VERY RARE to find TRULY DOUBT you may EVER see another one! (How many ladies could've been at the party to receive one, really?) Comes with the original split jump ring, which is also guaranteed sterling, so you can put it on your bracelet right away! Raised lettering on the reverse commemorates the event at which this was gifted to guests~ "From Mr. & Mrs. F.A.Weck in Honor of their 62nd anniversary and his 85th birthday, Sept 5th 1927" Curiousity makes me REALLY want to know more about these people & party, as one HAS to think it was a gala, and they MUST'VE been quite rich! ~To have these specially made would've been VERY costly~ So glad they did- this IS STUNNING! SOLID QUALITY construction, (it isn't going to bend or break without some SERIOUS real effort-- this is a true 98-year old antique AND MADE IN USA in the 1920's where the Highest Quality was "standard"!) This sweet UNIQUE charm measures 14.5/16" east to west, and is 1-1/8" long from the top of the bail or ring.
