This listing is for the JUNE 1913 issue of AUTOMOBILE TRADE JOURNAL Vol. XVII, No. 12 Fascinating look into the early era of automobilia . great vintage graphics, advertisements and articles. probably most interesting it the supplement on the Third ever Indianapolis Speedway 500 Race. This was notable for many reasons including it was the first won by a European in a foreign made car. JULES GOUX driving a Pugeot came in first, Spencer Wishart in a Mercer came in second , and Charles Merz came in third in a Stutz. Burman in a Keeton broke the speed record.Another interesting article is the feature they have on Electric vehicles like the Broc. tons of pictures and ads for all kinds of long defunct car , truck, wagon companies like Kissel Kars , Selden trucks, Maxwell, Peerless, etc. and all kinds of auto parts.pretty darn nifty piece of ephemera.check my upmoing listings for more issues.
