Description: Voves is a former commune in the Eure-et-Loir department in central France. In 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Les Villages Voveens. Gare de Voves is the railway station located in the former commune, at kilometer 99.00s of the line from Bretgny to La Membrolle-sur-Choislle. The station appears to have been built around 1868. It was seriously damaged during WWII and was replaced by wooden barracks until 1953, when a new station was built. This card is a Udb and is postmarked 1906, in excellent condition with some minor wear and a clean, clear image of the original “Voves-le Gare”. The reverse is address and clean. The colors on the card may vary due to the scanner settings and screen projections.Unless otherwise noted, I use Wikipedia, Playle's and Metropostcard for research and try to be as accurate as possible. Corrections appreciated. If this your card, it will be mailed promptly upon receipt of payment......
