VL1076 Antique Art Deco c1920 Globe Lighting Slipper Shade Chandelier Restored

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a fabulous representation of the Art Deco era and dates to the 1920s. It was manufactured by Globe Lighting Mfg. Co. (see last photo for original catalog page) and has been carefully restored back to its original glory. The cast amber glass slipper shades are in mint condition with no chips cracks or repairs. The vellum/parchment inserts on the interior of the light are held on to the frame with brass wire brads and are in excellent condition with no rips or tears which is remarkable considering this light’s age. The patina on this light is original and is plated in nickel. There is only a slight loss of the plating around the bottom finial (shown in the 2nd to last photo). This is not notable, but I have to mention. The stem of the light is cast brass and the base frame that holds the shades and canopy are either a cast aluminum or pot metal. It has only been lightly cleaned. The original sockets have been restored and it has been rewired with period correct cloth wiring, has been tested and is ready to install and comes with a modern cross bar for installation. It measures 14” dia. and will drop 22” from the ceiling once installed. The drop cannot be shortened, but chain can be added at an additional cost. Ornate cast canopy is original and measures 6” dia. x 2”h. This beauty will certainly be a focal point wherever she hangs.
