Description: This V40 is a very nice example of Vito's popular student clarinet. By looking at it you can tell that it has been well taken care of- the key plating is excellent plus the corks and springs are in top condition. The body of the clarinet has very few minor scratches from normal use and no cracks. This instrument has been thoroughly reconditioned: taken apart and cleaned, all new Valentino pads were installed, plus it was lubricated and the keys aligned when it was re-assembled. I've found that often it's the small adjustments that make a big difference in how enjoyable an instrument is to play.I started playing clarinet 60 years ago and these days I restore clarinets exclusively. Over the years I've refurbished more than 1,200 of these Bb clarinets, many of which have been sold here on eBay.
