Description: Offered here is a PARTIAL book of matches probably made during World War II. One side pictures a pair of pilot's wings, and reads: "OFFICER'S MESS - TOPEKA ARMY AIR BASE...Topeka, Kansas." (Over the years, this base has been called: Topeka Army Airfield, Forbes Field & Forbes Air Force Base.) The other side pictures what I "THINK" is a B-24 Liberator bomber airplane. When closed, the matchbook measures 3 inches long by just over 2 inches wide. The condition is probably GOOD. It is missing several matches, but most are present. The exterior cover has some soiling and yellowing - but not too bad. It still displays very nicely. It is guaranteed to be old & original - made during the 1940's - or your money back.
