Upon doing some research on this shell we were able to determine that it is from a French 75 mm field gun. According to the "International Ammunition Assoc." website "Field Gun Shell Identification" we found that the markings on the shell (75 DEC) transcribed into French means 75 mm Canone de Campagne (or in English, 75 mm Field Gun). See photos for more detail as to item's overall condition. Dimensions - Length 13 1/2", Diameter (Top) 3.0", Diameter (Bottom) 3 3/8". Hand Hammered Flowers are found on the sides of the shell and they measure 6 3/4" Tall x 6 3/4" Wide.
