Description: This listing is for two hand-carved wooden figurines, each depicting a man. The left one shows a (native) Hawaiian fisherman or whale hunter holding a spear, and is marked on the back "TIC Hawaii" (I think the last part means teak). It is hollow as you can see from the photo. The other figurine is probably older and from France. Figurines like this are sometimes called "Hobo" figurines and associated with the maker SIC in France. This one is solid wood and has a pedestal base. It could be basswood or olive wood. The figure shows a man in a hat walking with a cane or walking stick. This may be an unusual pairing, but these both came from the estate of my neighbor, who was a collector of vintage figurines, so I thought I'd offer them together. Measurements: Man with spear: 6" tall, 2" base, weighs 3 ounces. Man with cane: 6.75" tall, 3" base, weighs 6 ounces. Condition: Good vintage condition, see photos. They both look old, but the man in the hat looks older.
