Description: Another hobbyist's kit that didn't hold the owner's interest, perhaps.This looks like a late 1950s or 1960s product.The model 8200 soldering gun is in great shape - it appears hardly used, and works as it should on both heat settings. The little lamp that lights the work area also works. The cord is clean and undamaged.There's a brand-new spare tip, 3.5 oz of solder (don't know what type), and a little wrench for the screws that secure the tip. Some other accessories that likely were in the kit are missing (flux brush, wire tool, etc.).The foam case insert that held the components of the kit is long gone, and the plastic case itself is beginning to fall apart - there are cracks in several places - see pics.The soldering gun is the main point here - these things last forever (I still have one that I got in the '50s, works fine).There are quite a few jobs that these are just the thing for.
