I am unsure if this is a German Black Forest piece, nonetheless it’s a beautiful old carving. The artist captured a wonderful expression on both the mother and cub along with the glass eyes and well carved faces. Fine detailing throughout entire piece especially on fur rendering. The sculpture measures 8” tall by 7 3/4” wide and 5 1/2” deep. It is unmarked. Overall it is in excellent condition and ready for display, a lovely piece of folk art.
