Description: Likely one-of-a-kind Vintage NEW Unused Visitor Book Hardcover with Real or Faux Brown Leather Cover with Embossed 'F' (for Fairchild) with oval border design and Gold Lettering 'Livre D'Or' and 1964 year on spine. On front end page is beautiful inscription to John and Jill Fairchild dated Aug. 30, 1964, from person with indiscernible signature. Also has gold colored leaf slip case. Book is blank paper heavy parchment no maker noted. Would probably make better scrapbook than visitor book. Measures approx. 11 x 9" unpaginated but certainly more than 100. John Fairchild was the Editor-in-Chief of Women's Wear Daily and founder of W Magazine. He passed in 2015. His wife Jill was an author, filmmaker and fashion critic. She passed in 2021. This came from her estate. We have many items from their estate others are listed on our store. Book Condition is excellent the Slip Case has scuffs and wear along edges from 60 years of storage.
