Description: Absolutely stunning Vintage silk top hat from the late 1800s made by a highly prized hat company; Dalton. No bare spots and the silk plush is in excellent condition and the hat is very wearable, but the leather sweatband is a bit stiff and has a crack and is cracked in a few places where sewn to the felt—yet still well adhered to the hat. It’s tagged as a size 7 3/8, but has shrunk to fit closer to a 7 1/4. Check my correct measurements and your head size/shape carefully, as this is what’s termed as a “stiff” hat, like a bowler. 6 1/2” crown measured from the brim break(area where the brim meets the base of the crown) up to the top edge of the crown. 2” bound brim 1 1/8” hatband with the frayed bow end treatment Inside to inside head opening measurements 8”X 6 1/2” Inside circumference of sweatband is just a hair shy of 58cm ‼️Due too my work schedule I’m only able to mail items on certain days of the week so keep in mind that there could possibly be a five day delay before I’m able to mail your item depending on when it’s purchased.
