Description: A pound and a quarter of Victor Insulators ceramic! If you're shopping for an original Victor coffee mug, you already know their military connection. And you know that although Victor Insulators Company is still in business making...electrical insulators...that they stopped making ceramic mugs 40 years ago. And of course you know that the small team of potters in Victor, New York stamped the mugs they made, each with his or her own character "flaw" so that production could be traced back to the craftsman if need be. One guy used a stamp that lacked a tail on the "r", another left the cross off the "t" and so on. Here we have twin mugs that were located right here in Victor, NY. They were made by the same person, hence the oversized "V" in the name Victor. That was his personal code stamp. The 3 1/2" tall mugs are throw-at-the-wall tough and therefore have no chips nor cracks. Heavy to ship. Thanks for looking!
