Description: Vintage USAF Named Major General Framed Photo. It measures 11 by 14 inches in the frame and is from the estate of David B. Easson from Davenport Iowa. During World War II he entered active military duty as an aviation cadet in February 1943 and received his pilot wings in March 1944. He then was assigned to the 443rd Troop Carrier Group, Tenth Air Force, in the China-Burma-India theater of operations where he flew 96 combat missions in transport aircraft as a pilot and flight leader. He served in various commands until 1981 when he retired from active duty. His military decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, Distinguished Flying Cross with two oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster and the Senior Missileman badge. He is a command pilot with 5,400 hours flying time, of which 783 are combat hours. I bought several items from his estate that I will be listing over the next few days.
