Description: This rare and retired vintage BARSE set is comprised of the original BARSE sterling silver gemstone-accented chain with a large matching sterling silver gemstone cross pendant, and a pair of matching cross earrings. This set was made in the USA before the company began manufacturing in Thailand and in China. The 925 sterling silver set features a multi-gemstone fairly large cross pendant and cross earrings with bezel-set rhodochrosite (pink), blue/green turquoise, amber (?) and mother-of-pearl stones. The cross is suspended from a sterling silver round bail with silver "beading" accents. The earrings are suspended from Barse sterling silver hooks. The cross pendant and earrings have a darkened (heavily oxidized) background. The matching necklace features the same types of gemstones separated by sterling silver spacers featuring the same silver "beading" as the pendant bail. (Note: Cross is not removable from the necklace). The necklace is adjustable from about 16" to 18" long. The cross pendant has a 2 1/4" drop (including the bail) and is 1 5/8" wide. The cross earrings have a drop of 1 3/8" (including the hook) and are 15/16" wide. Please study the photos taken next to a ruler and between a dime and a quarter coin to better understand the sizes of these pieces. The pendant and the earrings are stamped "C" (copyright) "Barse" and "925", and the lobster-claw clasp on the necklace is stamped "925". The pendant with necklace and earrings weigh a nice 68 grams. These pieces are pre-owned so shows some wear but overall are in excellent condition as there are no cracks in the stones and the settings are secure (not loose); and the chain has no kinks or other defects. This set has a soft patina (light tarnish) so the new owner might want to polish the pieces (we don't polish our pieces). NOTE!
