Description: Vintage, unique, Turkmen bridal hair tassel. About 16" long. There are red accents on the triangular portion - the smaller ones are made of plastic, the center is glass. The plastic pieces are scuffed with age and use. There is also a red glass cabochon on the hook. The hook is traditionally used to fasten to braids/plaits of the bride's hair.. The metal is a gray/silver/tan color and most likely made of an alloy. Makes a sound with movement - the sound is used not only to announce the presence of the wearer but also used to ward off the evil eye. There is some discoloration on the metal, surface wear, and other signs of age and use. This weighs just over 6 ounces. Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently.
