Description: Hello, up for purchase is a vintage German kaleidoscope ornament. It’s an all silver ornament with a ball in the center. That ball is colored and has painted stripes on it. The color of the ball and stripes reflect onto the concave sides which gives it a beautiful effect. These ornaments are truly something to behold. **These particular ones with the colored balls are not missing liquid. A common misconception with kaleidoscope ornaments is that every one of them had liquid at one point. The ones that have liquid, the balls will be clear and the liquid is colored. You can get those sometimes where the liquid has evaporated throughout the years. I even have a few empty ones. However, I have a few like this that I will be listing and they were just made with a colored ball versus liquid filled. I also have some with glass ribbons that are from Germany and considered kaleidoscopes but the glass ribbons/threads reflect instead of a ball.
