Description: This beautiful vintage sterling silver 3 finger cigar case has a simple scallop design with thin, delicate striations on the front and a monogram with the initials “MHC.” On the bottom of the case is the following engraved cursive lettering: Presented By Chevra Bikur Cholim and First Ladies Auxiliary C.F.” Looking for information on this society, I discovered it was founded on Nov. 28, 1860 and is still around today! It’s in excellent condition, no dents anywhere and the clasp works perfectly. The inside has a lovely golden wash and next to the clasp is a stamp with a crescent moon in front of the words: “W.STERLING.” It measures 5” x 2 1/4" with a height of 3/4” and weighs 2.8 oz.
