Description: I have a good smooth bottom Stanley Bailey no 3 plane for sale. It has a larger brass adjuster. It has some bending in the tension part of the lever cap in the back but works as it should... a common wear point. It has a good iron, with a frog that adjusts well. The lateral adjuster works well and adjusts side to side well as it should. The front knob and tote are un-cracked but have some cracking in the finish and are in original condition...The wooden knob and tote hold well without any movement. This plane works correctly and adjusts smoothly. This is a nice little plane that has a very good navy finish and little wear. The steel has some stain spots from sitting a long time without use. You should be able to improve the steel with some sanding if desired.. Price is based on good condition and unique navy finish... its pretty clean and used very little. Thank you for looking.
