Description: We are offering a vintage Stall & Dean 8060 baseball glove. Left Hand Thrower. It looks like a large youth size. This one is more than 50 years old, probably from 1970. Full leather construction, inside and out. Made from Top Grain Cowhide. The interior is also made of leather, not the synthetic seen in most modern gloves. It has rolled leather piping, not vinyl. The stampings say: Grip-Tite Pocket, Nylon Stitched, Laced-In Break, Professional, Rawhide Laced. The Stall & Dean cloth label still looks great. Stall & Dean was founded in 1899 and soon became the largest supplier of sports equipment in the country. Specializing in baseball uniforms, S&D also made quality gloves, bats and other gear. Early endorsers of Stall & Dean included Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Tris Speaker and Eddie Collins. Production of baseball gloves was moved to Japan sometime in the 1960s but continued with the company's demand for high quality equipment.
