Description: Please read carefully so as to understand what is offered and its condition… This is a South Bend Bend 323 9ft fly rod. It is a 3 piece rod with two rod tip pieces. The rod itself is beautiful and shows it. The only defects are the tip ends. One is shorter and broken off and the other has no top tip line guide. The ferrules are sound and tight. There are eyelets/guides that are missing and in need of replacement and all should be checked. When given the attention it needs it should prove to be a valuable fly rod as the bones are there for refurbishing. The middle piece has only one eyelet/guide. The rod looks remarkably unblemished except for what is mentioned and the handle is sound. The hook holder is there and appears sound. If you have other questions please feel free to ask as I want the buyer to know what they are getting for their money. Handle piece measures 36 13/16” butt to ferrule opening—Center Piece measures 36 1/2” ferrule insert to opening for top piece. Subtract up to 1” for top piece insertion. The Top Pieces measure (1) —36 1/8” (5 guides/eyelets with no tip guide) minus up to 13/16” insertion. (2) —32 7/16” (5 eyelets/guides) broken just past 5th guide (no tip) minus up to 13/16” insertion. Comes with metal storage tube with no top cap.
