Description: This is a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of baseball history. This set of vintage LA Dodgers baseball programs and a ticket stub are from a game my mother attended on August 29, 1960 with her dad and sister. After the game she went down onto the field and got signatures from a bunch of players, which appear on the first program pictured (the one with the picture of Duke Snider). The third program pictured - with a red background and baseball in the front - has signatures too but those are part of the cover art. There are a total of 18 signatures on the program from that day. Twelve are from players on the 1960 Dodgers team:- Sandy Koufax- Duke Snider- Gil Hodges- Don Drysdale- Frank Howard- Maury Wills- Stan Williams- Roger Craig- Chuck Essegian- Wally Moon- Johnny Podres- Tom Davis The other 6 are a mix of coaching staff and local media personalities, although I'm less certain of some of these names:- Walt Alston (manager)- ?? Reiser (coach)- Bobby Bragan? (coach)- Jeane Hoffman (LA sports writer and female sports journalism pioneer)- Vin Scully (radio)- Fred Haney? (either general manager or NBC broadcaster) All items are in good condition. They have some wear and tear around the edges and a few light creases on one of the covers but the signatures on the front are 100% legible. All pages are intact and as you flip through you'll see some fun old-school advertisements. This team was the reigning World Series champion. I don't know a ton about collectibles but I doubt you'll find anything like it in terms of its age, condition, and all the signatures. Perfect for Dodger fans! Or for anyone who likes vintage baseball memorabilia.
