Description: Beautiful and highly collectable Shelley saucer. This is a lovely Art Deco example of Shelley bone china, the eight-sided Queen Anne shape in the Blue Iris pattern. It bears the Shelley England stamp indicating manufacture between 1916-1925 and is marked Rd 723404 and pattern number 11561. The artist's initial is also marked on the back, and the delicate pattern is clearly hand painted, with bright touches of orange and yellow highlighting the blue flowers. Very fine bone china, translucent when held to the light, without any chips or cracks.
