Description: Vintage SALMON FALLS Stoneware Mug BLUEBERRY BASKET Salt Glaze/Cobalt Blue Size 4.5" high, 3.75" across top with a 3.25" opening, round base 3"Holds 14 ounces liquid with headspace to spare at topHighly collectible mug is completely handmade stoneware with a grey salt glaze exterior and a brownish salt glaze interior for contrast. Extremely lovely design of a basket of blueberries and twigs/leaves on the front. The Salmon Falls 'Blueberry Basket' varies slightly from piece to piece as these were all handmade. This particular mug has an outstanding design- the twigs and leaves in the basket are nice and tall, the lines are very distinct, and the berries and outline work is quite dimensional or 'feelable' to the touch. Large, easy-grip handle with a slight curve.A heavy and incredibly well-made piece circa 1990s. This mug would be fantastic on display or in use. These also make nice 'vases' for greens etc on a table due to their large size. Beautiful in a country, farmhouse, or Primitive styled kitchen or dining area Very good condition, would list as Excellent but for one small very FAINT crazing line through glaze which is NOT a crack and is superficial only. See last photo- on back of mug well away from the blueberry basket design or any decoration. Incredibly minor. Mug never used and spotlessly clean inside and out. No nicks chips cracks repairs or fading to coloration.
