Description: Vintage Sabre 3 Blade Premium Stockman Pocket Knife - Made in Ireland. Blades are highly polished stainless steel--one is 3 inches long, the other two are 2 inches long. Delrin black jigged handle. Knife is tight and the action is very smooth. This knife was most likely made in the 1970s by Jowika, a German company that operated a factory in Listowel, Ireland, from 1960 through 1978. The Jowika factory also made knives for Colonial, Imperial, and Shrade. A good-looking quality pocketknife. Sabre was a brand owned by Cole National Corporation, a company based in Ohio that dealt in several different markets. Records show the company was in business from 1966 thru 1996. For several years, Cole even owned Ka-Bar. The Sabre brand can be found on knives made all over the world, including Germany, Japan, the USA, Ireland, Pakistan, and Hong Kong.
