Description: Great image of a dance marathon contest the was all the rage in the 1920-30s. Basically it was abuse. Audiences loved it. Kind of like a car wreck -- you couldn't look away. And participants endured it because they were broke and needed the money. I do not know where this is from. I tried to ID the ad script on the back of the guy picture. But came up with Canton Restaurant on some Ave. Good luck with that. :) I do not believe this print is vintage to the time of the image capture. But it was not printed by me as it came out of an estate. My guess it is from 1960-70s based on the photo paper. But I do not know. This is a collectable vintage photograph from my collection. My inventory ranges from 19th century prints to abstract snapshots and Polaroids dating into the 1970s. All of my photographs are in varying condition.
