Description: Completely disassembled, cleaned, filed, sanded, painted and reassembled. Ran through ultrasonic cleaner for several hours to remove all grease and grime. Works as designed. handle ends and meatball were cold blued, polished with superfine steel wool and oiled. One jaw screw was missing so I made 2 new ones so they would match. No damage or repairs made. After filing and sanding I skim coat epoxy over any remaining dings and re-sand and re-file. This is cosmetic only for painting. I take "before" pics and will send to who ever requests them. This step takes several extra hours. I restore all of my items how I would like them so some extra care and steps are taken. Has some very light slop but normal wear for the age. Opens and closes with one finger, super smooth. No grease is used only oil. Jaw face knurling in very good condition. Weighs about 40 lbs. Will ship least expensive carrier and refund any differences. Welcome local pick up. This is a well built Rock Island vise similar quality to Reed. Still some prior use marks on this vise so its not perfect for a show room but its ready to work for another 75 years.
