Description: Here is a set of 96 quilt blocks in the Pinwheel pattern, #1262a, as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman. Pattern is categorized as a Four Patch with specific construction. Design is also known as Windmill, Crow's Foot and Broken Wheel plus others. Blocks are hand stitched and measure approximately 4 1/2" square. Fabrics are mainly cottons (perhaps a few blends) with several from the late 1800s to early 1900s including shirting prints, cranberry red and woven plaids. Piecing is generally good with the mid-seam meeting in most cases and good diagonal seam placement. These are mostly clean, please use the photo zoom feature to view any spotting or soiling. Item is for only the pictured blocks, no other materials, patterns, templates or instructions are included.
