Description: Vintage Primitive Zinc Garden Watering Can, Hand Guards, WHEELING Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE ZINC WATERING CAN Wonderful, heavy and sturdy vintage primitive zinc oval watering can measuring about 13" tall, 17" from the spout tip to the handle back and 6-1/2" wide. Featuring a thick, canted spout, applied rolled handle on both the top and side for protecting the hand, and the number "8" on the base - there is a trace label shadow on one side as shown - unmarked, but I believe this was made by Wheeling. Condition is exactly what you want to see from a utilitarian piece - minor denting, scuffing, interior patination and typical light bleaching to the zinc as shown. It no longer retains the rose end, which does not impact function - it holds water just fine. Dating 1940s or 1950s, it would be a charming addition to any display of old flower frogs, garden tools or similar primitive/architectural items. If questions, please contact me, thanks!
