It was posted in 1911. The region was part of the Central NY Military Tract used to pay soldiers of the American Revolution. One of the townships was named Cincinnatus. Members of the Oneida Tribe persisted in the town during its early history. The town was first settled circa 1795. It was one of the original six towns of Cortland County. The town was formed from the town of Solan in 1804. In 1818, Cincinnatus was split so that part of its territory was used to create the towns of Freetown, Willet, and Marathon. There are creases on 3 of the corners. There is a crease along the bottom also. Please check the photos carefully so you can make your own judgment of its condition. We have a smoke free home. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Your postcard will be sent to you well protected. These valuable pieces of history are treated with the respect that they deserve. I usually mail items out as soon as payment is received but sometimes I am unable to until the next day. Thank you for looking at my auction!
