Description: Set of 3 Vintage Mascotes de Maria Helena Handmade Fabric Dolls from the 1950s.Amazing detailed construction of these dolls includes hand sewn costumes, hand sewn and hand painted faces. Yarn hair, peeks out under the hats with big pom poms on each doll's hat. The dolls' bodies are tightly stuffed with hand embroidered facial details and features on hands and feet. These dolls are part of my childhood doll collection given to me by grandparents and cousins after various European trips in the late 1950s. Very rarely played with, on display for decades. 2 men, a fisherman with his net, and a man with a bag over his shoulder. One has a gold tag on his waist with the name Mascotes Maria Helena and hand sewn leather shoes.. The fisherman's net has small cork floats1 woman in traditional dress - Her skirt has 7 layers under her embroidered black skirt. Her black veil is felt, as is some of the clothing.
