Description: For Sale is a Vintage Large Porcelain Chinese Lidded Jar or Ginger Jar. Hand Thrown on a wheel and Hand Painted with great skill. The Jar is covered with a Scene of Aquatic Life; Flowers, Plants, Seaweed, Coral, and Fish (flying koi). It is Extra Large. It stands 16.5" tall x 14.5" wide x 14.5" deep x 40.5" circumference. It is Porcelain and fired with white crackle glaze. I don't know it's age. I'm guessing 20th century. The bulbous shape with a fancy lid sitting on a stylized neck is perfectly executed. The handpainted enamel designs are raised slightly from the surface, brilliant, colorful, and painted with great care. There are no chips and cracks. It is in Perfect Condition and Well Treasured. I've only seen one similar online. Guarantee you will love this large Chinese Lidded Urn / Ginger Jar.
