Description: This vintage original 1956 movie window card (14” x 22”) for Universal Pictures love triangle melodrama release “There’s Always Tomorrow”. It stars frequent co-stars Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray (most famously in one of the all-time classic film noir movies, “Double Indemnity”). This film was directed by Douglas Sirk (best known for his work in Hollywood melodramas of the 1950s) and also starred Joan Bennett, Pat Crowley and Jane Darnell. This poster is in very good condition and displays beautifully. It is an unrestored window card with rich, deep color and image. It has general signs of use, such as light edge wear, slight creases, and smudges. It has such vibrant, beautiful artwork that looks absolutely fantastic. It has great images of the three stars. The film has received much critical acclaim from modern-day critics who variously describe it as a "mordant, intelligent soap," a "sudsy but well-acted soap opera," and a “a brilliant example of his [Sirk's] mastery of lacerating irony," concluding that Stanwyck's "generically-correct fairytale 'sacrifice' of self to the sanctity of the family, and the sanctioned role of the independent woman, merely intensifies the romantic agony of both dreamer victims. Tomorrow never comes."
