Description: ORIGINAL PRODUCTION MOVIE PHOTO for "MAD LOVE", a motion picture from MGM (1935). This movie features FRANCIS DRAKE and PETER LORRE. This was Lorre's first film in the United States. The movie was not well-received at the box office, but Lorre's work was widely acclaimed and in more recent times, the film has attained greater appreciation, reaching "horror classic" status. This photo features PETER LORRE. It's numbered 842-74 representing the 74th photograph of probably hundreds produced to promote this movie--the vast majority of which are no longer in existence. This photo is in FINE-VERY FINE condition with nice borders and edges. There is minor blunting at the top corner tips (see photos). This production photo came from a collection of 300 publicity photos and production stills running from the late days of silent pictures (1927) up to 1935. Notes and documents that came with the collection indicate they once belonged to, and were used by a celebrity publication such as a newspaper or magazine located somewhere in New York.
