Description: Weeny Witch magazines was published by Hollinger’s Frankfurts and was an annual children’s Halloween magazine in the 1950’s that had games, articles and paper masks. These particular four items are very unique because they were store displays to promote the magazine. A witch, ogre, cat, and a skull were carefully cut from magazines, leaving the eyes intact, and attached to wood stands. I am an avid Halloween collector and I have never come across display items like these, so they are really special collectibles. I’ve enjoyed having them for a few years, but it’s time to pass them on to another collector. The tallest is the witch at 11 inches tall. The paper used for the masks made them delicate, especially with age, so tiny cracks were forming around the edges, which are really only noticeable from the reverse. To protect them from any further damage, I coated them with a sealer, which stiffened them as well for better displaying. The very tip of the cat’s right ear is either missing or simply was designed that way- I honestly can’t tell, but I needed to point it out. USPS has been progressively harsher with packages, so contiguous US only for these.
