Description: This fun/funky trim is tightly gathered lace that has been sewn down the middle to create a fixed ruffle/ruching. I can't quite tell what the lace is made of but assume it was machine-made mid-20th century. The color may have been white at one time but it has taken on an aged ecru color over the years. It has been stored away in my smoke free home for years after I purchased it from a costume maker in the 1990s. There are 5 feet in total (and much more lace than that to make the tight gathers) and it is about 1.25" wide. It could be used for clothing, pillows, collages, Valentine's cards and a variety of other creative items.
