Description: Vintage NANTUCKET Miniature WOOD BASE Basket HANDLE Unsigned 2.5" Small #2 This vintage or contemporary Nantucket miniature basket is a very nice example for collectors who cannot afford the genuine older or vintage baskets. It has a very nice look and is handmade but more recently. It will be a unique addition to any decorative basket collection. Bse appears to be stained or painted - hard to tell- some loss of paint/varnish. This design is different than most Nantucket baskets we have seen. Most have the swing handle with knobs - this one has 2 side or loop handles. The basket measures approx 2.5" to top of loop handles and just over 2" to rim and wood base is approx 1.5" diameter and diameter at top rim is approx 3" edge to edge. This basket appears to be in good used condition, it is not signed nor dated so we have no idea when it was made- but possibly 1970s-90s. Wood base has some wear or loss to varnish to base. Please note the measurements in the pictures, and that this is a tiny basket, selling, as is- as found. Thank you.
