Vintage Mid Century Oak Case Smiths Of Enfield Striking & Chiming Mantle Clock

Description: WHAT YOU ARE BUYING? 💚 a stunning, sort after a vintage wood cased early to mid century, UK made, mechanical mantle clock. Made under the Smiths of Enfield name, a classic design, silvered metal inlaid dial, very stylish piece, winding movement, glass covered dial, winds at to front. We believe this to be a solid oak case and also a striking and chiming clock. Original key, but not pendulum with clock. We have tested this over a couple of days, as working. We have heard the clock strike and chime. We would however, recommend full overhaul and clean, plus possible specialist repairs, as we are unsure how accurate this clock would be long term. We would also recommend the case to receive some gentle cleaning and restoration. Piece is a great item with no major case damage, some discolouration and a few minor scratches, will polish out and clean up, as shown. Does have a few scratches, but hardly any wear to face, face is in good condition for age. Please only buy if happy with what you see in photos. Would suit a hobby restoration project. Lovely classic style piece, looks very striking and beautiful quality. Standing piece is approximately 22.5cm tall by 11cm wide x 31cm long (base) CLEANING ANTIQUES and VINTAGE items - please note, we do not over clean antique porcelain and other delicate items.
