Description: Vintage MCM Theodore Haviland New York "Delaware" China Pattern Description: New York Back Stamp, Pink Roses Rim & Center. Made in the United States. This pattern is discontinued; it was active from ca. 1948 until unknown date. Maker's Marks: All the pieces in this collection have the "Theodore Haviland-New York" printed red mark inside a Black cloud outline. "Made in America" is printed in black below. The pattern name "Delaware" is then printed in red at the bottom. Various codes and numbers also appear, printed in gold, seemingly date marks from the late 1940's. Although the Theodore Haviland line of fine china began in 1892, the THNY Cloud mark ("Mark T" per the Haviland Online website) was used only from ca. 1937 until 1956. Condition: Very good midcentury condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Light shelf wear and light to moderate wear of the the gold trim exists. Large plates have light to moderate utensil scratches, but generally is expected given the age. See photos. Each piece is priced individually.
