This hatchet has seen some use and abuse. Although the head is tight to the handle, the handle is recessed by approximately 1/4" and will need to be re-set/fixed. My preference would be to sand and oil the handle, so to leave the options open and make it easier, I do not set the head. Please note that the butt end of the handle has checks and splits where several pieces are missing; and the owner marks below the makers stamp.
