Description: Up for Sale is a Vintage Maria Helena Lisboa Portugal 7.5" Handmade Cloth Doll w/Box 1950's/60's Excellent Condition. Can't open the box, it is shut with 2 small staples on the bottom as shown in photo. Very well preserved. I took Regular and Flash photos. Comes with Original Box. Box has yellowed with age. Has a gold tag sewn onto the doll Mascotes De Maria Helena as shown in photo. Measures 7.5" Tall. Weighs 3.1 ounces in box. Maria Helena is a well known doll maker from Portugal. Her dolls were featured in the Kimport collection in the late 1950s and into the 1960s. She used traditional costumes to wonderfully represent the locals. You will recognize a Maria Helena doll by there distinctive head shapes, bright colors and big shoes. The faces are hand embroidered. All her dolls have such unique characteristics.
