Description: Vintage Mantua Model Build Kit 793: RACE HORSE BOMB VESSEL-1754. 1:47 Scale. Made in Italy. It is an open box item, but it is new with all parts and pieces. All small parts are in factory sealed package. 3 pieces have come off their panel as pictured. The balsa wood pieces appear complete. All build instructions and paperwork are included. This belonged to a relative who never got around to building it. The box has some minor edge wear marks from age and storage. The Race Horse Bomb Vessel 1754. "originally a ketch, this ship was strengthened and used for Arctic exploration with others including the Carcase on which Nelson served as a midshipman. Being strengthened she also had the capability to withstand the pressures of large mounted mortars, so with minor adaptation was used as a Bomb vessel during the wars with Russia."
