Mahogany tobacco and pipe holder holds 7 pipes I would say this is done in the German Black Forest style carving it’s about 9 inches across at it’s widest and a little more than 4 inches to the top of the highest point on the lid. The lid has a kinda twisting locking point to it which holds it tightly on which I would think helps seal itself I have just lemon oiled this so once that drys it won’t be shiny like it’s got a clear coat on it if you wanted it lacquered you could do so I’ve thought about linseed oiling it which is something I use on a lot of my wood stuff this was my late father’s and it been like this as long as I can remember he just used it for displaying any questions please ask thanks
