Description: Vintage Trick Book: All Change The Great Soccer Mystery (1950s) Charles Bowyer This is a novelty conjurer's trick book whereby the user presents the book to the audience and flips through it and the contents appear to change between flip-throughs. A copy is in the Victoria and Albert Museum. It dates from the 1950s. From the V & A website:"The book is printed with inverted and repeated pages to allow the conjurer to tell a story and show the spectators pictures of footballers, a football pool coupon and the £75,000 cheque that they would like to win, then reveal a blank page which represents all that they are likely to get. Having amused them with this story, the conjurer flicks through the book again, and the pools coupon has apparently turned into the music of a football song and the cheque into pictures of road signs which recommend 'Safety First'." Size: 14.5 x 9 cm approx Condition: Very good for age. The tightness of the pages suggests it has seldom or never been used. Slight crease to one cover page. Some pages slightly tanned. Please study the photos carefully for details of condition. Delivery: The book will be carefully packaged using, wherever possible, recycled/reused materials, and despatched via Royal Mail 2nd Class Post.
