Description: Vintage Magee Hale Pay–O–Meter Parking Meter This is a vintage Magee Hale Pay–O-Meter Parking Meter. When meter was operational, pennies, nickels and dimes were used to activate it. Parking meter has a grey finish. Finish has scrapes and scratches. Clear plastic time display window has scratches. Manufacturer’s plate is affixed to front. There is one rivet missing from plate. Back has plate that displays information regarding when meter parking is in effect, 2-hour parking, how much time you will get for a penny, nickel or dime. Graphics are very visible. Clock mechanism does not work. This may be the reason why coins cannot be inserted . Clock mechanism can be accessed by top of parking meter. This can be done by unscrewing the taper proof screw at top with a flat head screwdriver. Included is a key to access coin box located at bottom of parking meter. Item is mounted to a 9-inch x 9-inch block of wood so it can be easily displayed. Measures approximately 20 ¾ inches high (incl wood base). Item is heavy, shipping may be expensive.
